THESE BEAUTIFUL MEN PUT ME IN THE MOOD FOR A RAVE. LET’S DO IT
I have been posting a lot today, but I have had a lot on my mind.
I LOVE THESE MEN. I LOVE THESE MEN BECAUSE THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE THESE MEN BECAUSE THEY ARE ADORABLE. I LOVE THESE MEN BECAUSE THEY MAKE ME HAPPY.
“Why is it that people today have to like others based on physical appearances? There needs to be a deeper foundation. People are so shallow, and that disgusts me.”
HI, FUCK YOU.
Humans are drawn to what is beautiful; it is our nature. It is not a crime to want to be beautiful to others, and it is not a crime to love those who are beautiful to you. Sure, I’ll concede that long-lasting relationships founded solely on physical attraction are undesirable and unstable, but there is no wrong in appreciating someone’s beauty, even if that is all that you appreciate. Sometimes the physical attraction is merely the first step, and other times it can get no further, and that is O.K.

This man is gorgeous. I will give that he is a wonderfully talented dancer and has a charming personality, but first and foremost he is beautiful to me, and I love him for it. In fact, he is so beautiful that sometimes I don’t even know what to do with myself. I look at him and I am entirely overwhelmed by his beauty, because you know what, he is fucking attractive.

I’ve had it with people and their stupid “morals”. Don’t even look at me and say honestly that looks don’t matter at all, because they do. I don’t care if you’re a priest or a hermit or a men-suck feminist or what, you are going to find others attractive and sometimes that’s going to be all you notice. Sorry I’m not sorry, now you can all get over yourselves. While you’ve got your nose in the air pretending to be a deep and profound person, I’m going to go enjoy what life has provided me, and tonight that happens to be beautiful men.

Suck it, loser, I’m better than you.

Day 07 – A song that you can dance to
HA, HA, HA, what perfect timing it is that I recently discovered the catchiest Korean pop song EVER that also has choreography that is simply PERFECT. Not to mention that 태민 (Taemin) is frickin’ GORGEOUS in the promotional video. Please look:
I’ve already decided that I’m going to get his hairstyle before leaving for college — or once my hair is long enough, haha. Whichever comes first!

Day 06 – A song that reminds you of a certain event
Easy, easy, easy. Too easy. Deadlines by There For Tomorrow is the winner here — it’s the song I was listening to when I got into my car crash last winter. I didn’t want to listen to my CDs anymore so I put my headphones around my neck and cranked the volume on this pop-punk song that my brother introduced me to, made sure to stop super slowly and early to avoid crashing into the car in front of me because the road was slick with the first snow, and when the light turned green I turned left into an oncoming car whose headlights may or may not have been on. Excellent.

Day 04 – A song that reminds you of someone
I guess I’m just an incredibly selfish person because there really isn’t a song that I have that really reminds me of someone else when I hear it. I associate songs with certain people, obviously, but honestly, it’s conscious and contrived for the most part.
For example, I can associate anything by the Dave Matthews Band with Mary because she listens to them a lot and Kid Gloves by Voxtrot with Mimi because the lovely song was on her MySpace for awhile and that was the first time I heard it…but it takes a second or two of conscious processing for me to come to these conclusions.
I think I’ll just post this incredibly bad-ass song from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess instead.

Day 03 – A song that makes you sad
There are a whole host of The Lord of the Ring’s songs that I could easily group into this category: Annie Lennox‘s Into the West, Enya‘s May It Be, Emiliana Torrini‘s Gollum’s Song, and various Howard Shore compositions. (Even brilliant, confident pieces like The Battle of Pelennor Fields brings tears to my eyes. In fact, most of his songs that include remnants of the Rohan themes get me almost every time.) Many of his compositions with ballads in them make me very teary, as well, including Théoden King and The Sacrifice Of Faramir- Ft. Billy Boyd Performing The Edge Of Night.
But truly, the saddest thing about Howard Shore and his compositions is that he chose to write the score for Eclipse.
However, there is a different song that really, truly makes me legitimately sad every time I hear it. It’s a different kind of sadness than the sadness that The Lord of the Rings gives me. That kind of sadness is a more of a nostalgic sadness, and also I sadness that I as much relate to the movies and books as I relate to the actual sound. The sadness of the following song brings more of a wallowing sadness in my heart, if that makes any sense. It’s not necessarily a heavy sadness, but it is a consuming, despairing, haunting sadness.
“My Medea”, Vienna Tang
Warm Strangers
On second thought, Foolish Games by Jewel runs a very, very close second place.
